I had my first computer when I was 4, and I started fixing people’s computers when I was about 11 years old.
When I started my company, Dorks Delivered, I really loved solving problems for people with computers. I love technology, and I love everything around it.
All that changed over the years. I wasn’t just fixing people’s computers. What I’ve realised is I love finding ways to fix a situation that people aren’t aware of. I don’t necessarily care about the I’s and O’s, ones and zeros, etc. I care more about helping businesses succeed by introducing them to new technologies that they may not have understood or even knew were available.

One of our clients was spending a lot of time and energy on timesheets and data entry for payroll. We put in a simple solution and doing the payroll went from 2 days to about 2 hours.
For another client, we put in a tool that led them to the discovery that an employee was employed by a competitor and was sending their clients off. That resulted in a court case, and that person was reprimanded for his misconduct (I don’t like being the bearer of bad news, but we have to be that person on some days).
