Started my career as an electrician but ended up spending 16 years in senior executive management with multi national organisations. Gained much experience in Sales and Marketing but a lot more with managing people. Working, over along period, with a broad spectrum of people, encountering real issues (both professional and personal) on a day to day basis, really does prepare you for advising people and businesses as an insurance broker. Being able to cut through the jargon and recommend the right product from the right insurer for the right situation is very rewarding.
